The second semester exam for Pre-Calculus is comprehensive over the second semester only.
To be successful the exam you should be able to do the following:
· Evaluate logs
· Determine the type of a function from a table of ordered pairs (add-add, add-mult, etc.)
· Give equations of a function from a graph and ordered pairs (Stat, Regression, etc.)
· Solve equations involving logs
· Given a set of data calculate the best regression equation and use it to extrapolate or interpolate
· Calculate permutations
· Calculate probabilities of dice
· Calculate probabilities of cards
· Calculate probabilities of committees
· Graph polar equations (on a grapher)
· Find solutions to polar systems (use grapher, convert to cartesian, find intersections, etc.)
· Using polar equations, polar coordinates, cartesian coordinates, and parametric equations answer given scenarios
· Simplify expression involving i
· Execute polynomial division
· Perform partial fraction decompositions
· Calculate average rates of change
· Evaluate limits
· Determine equations of tangent lines
· Compute derivatives using the definition of the derivative
· Find first derivatives using derivative rules (shortcuts)
ALSO - there will be a Final Final EQ to be completed on the Exam!
